Bar Saint Jean

No ratings yet
Drinking in style

An über-elegant and subtly and warmly lit cocktail-plus bar named after the eastern French village of Saint Jean, childhood home to Johann Courgibet, who lived in Paris for ten years before moving to Berlin, where in 2012 he opened the previous incarnation of this bar, in a basement at Steinstraße  21 in Mitte. In July 2021 Bar Saint Jean Courgibet shifted his operation to this ground-floor space, also elegant and also in Mitte. Emphasis is on inventive decor, serious cocktails, mules and long drinks, plus paté, cheese, sardines and saucisson. And gay-friendliness. No sex. No cash. Cards only. Check website for DJ-led Gym Tonic nights. U-Bahn: Oranienburger Tor.
